I bought this one used All the parts were still in the bags, but the Instructions were gone I found a Vid' and looked over their shoulder (Hitting Pause) and built it lol thx Doug

Bet you paid a hefty price on that kit. The original monogram kits are hard to find. I still have one of the 71 hemi cuda kit still sealed. May never build it.

Doug, I must say that is one swell and finely detailed Ford Police car! I need to get one of these kits for the stash!

I'm having all kinds of issues getting this thing together. The plastic axles arent strong enough to hold the weight of the truck, and snapped off during storage while in assembly. I fixed this using small nails superglued i to the rear differentials. The sleeper sits too high on the storage tanks. The hood hinges are also fragile and hard to glue, so I am using miniature hinges.

I rebuilt my first small engine when I was 8, and have been at it ever since I saw one of these in the Repair Yard at 13 and asked how much they wanted They wanted $50.00 for it, If I had $25.00 more I could have had my own No Loss, at 14 I got a 68 Malibu instead - And Drove it to 8th grade Times Where Different Than lol That was Nice, and it brought back some happy memory's thx Doug

kool old kit....built mine , as a stock A 100.....I went so far , as to cut & hinge the inside engine cover...can be opened/closed , through the door....havva good one Doug , thanx 4 another kool review/build RJ

I really support what Atlantis models is doing, bringing back these ancient kits, made in the USA, at a reasonable price, unlike that other "company" taking ancient molds from the same era, molding them in Chicom, and charging the same or higher prices for the kits. Just goes to show that a USA company can compete with the Chicoms, if they are not greedy bastages that are only looking at the profit margin. Now don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate what Round 2 are doing, if it wasn't for them, these old AMT, MPC, Polar Lights, Hawk, Lindberg, etc, kits would be lost to history, just like the old JoHan kits (would I love for someone the back engineer these). Unlike aircraft models, where a new tool, updated kit of a Spitfire, Hurricane, P-51 Mustang, or any other well-known WWII fighter or bomber plane is welcome with open arms, and guaranteed a successful seller, what model company in their right mind would release a new tool kit of, say, a 1963 Ford Galaxie, 59 AMC Rambler, 60 Plymouth Fury, you get the drift

It's hard to find a good 70 charger model. I have an original MPC model a promo model and a real full size car. The hardest part for them to replicate is the front grill and the rear grill and tail lights. Most likely I will buy one of these and give it a shot. My original one was built way back when but still looks great, lots of detail on the original MPC models. Wish MPC / someone would re-pop those old original model kits.

The kit was no longer really good when I built it in 1975. It's amazing that you can still buy it today. Even more amazing is that there are people who buy it. I think you made the best of it.

Does anyone know the true scale of this kit? I’ve read it’s 1/40, or 1/48. Box say 1/54. Thank you.

I don't think I've seen this particular kit before - I like these models that give you different build options that you can mix and match and truly make it your own. I see that the designers at AMT were onto something when they put the side cladding as an option on this car because so many Pontiacs came with that particular feature in the 1980s and 1990s.

This is an amazing build! I really hope to be able to get my paint as smooth as you get yours soon. But, practice makes perfect 😄 Also, I really like that 1978 Pontiac Firebird build you did a while back. Absolutely gorgeous!

Nice! I have this and the auto transport trailer. I'm planning on building them as a set and, with any luck, detailing it out with working lights. Please don't use the green background again. lol The first few seconds of the video is great because I can see it.
